My client is an independent transport planning consultancy and works nationwide providing advice to land owners, developers, retailers, community and faith based organisations, occupiers and local authorities on all transport planning aspects of projects
They are conveniently based in London's West End and our staff have been involved in the transport planning of some of the largest and most complex development projects in the UK.
Due to on-going high demand, we are assisting them in recruiting a CAD Technician to work at their Central London offices. For this role is an advanatge if you have experience in Highway Design or within a transport planning practice.
You will be joining the technical team and be responsible for the production of preliminary highway and junction design layouts using AutoCAD and the production of other design drawings such as car parks, bus stations, footways and cycle routes. You will ideally have a good working knowledge of AutoTRACK - a piece of vehicle swept path software.
You will also be producing report figures using various software packages including CorelDRAW.
• Preliminary design of access and basic junction design (priority, roundabouts, signalisation)
• Swept Path Analysis using AutoTrack
• Preparation of high quality graphics using GIS packages and/ or Corel Draw
• Excellent communication skills; and good levels of numeracy and literacy
