A Multi-disciplinary Engineering Consultancy are seeking an Associate Energy Engineer to join their team in Edinburgh.

As a member of the department your responsibilities will include the delivery and project management of the Energy & Sustainability Services Design on assigned projects. You shall also ensure that you have a high-level understanding of all other major MEP projects and offer support and assistance when required. You shall also be responsible for maintaining and improving the quality and efficiency of the Energy Services design and post contract implementation offered by our client.

You shall have a supervisory role over junior engineering staff assigned to you and your projects and shall assist in their personal development both in their education and their technical experience. You shall be expected to act as the lead consultant on projects providing the Energy & Sustainability Services representation and input at key stages throughout the project to other members of the project team as well as ensuring that the Energy requirements are communicated and delivered within the organisation.

Roles and Responsibilities

Apply and enforce office procedures and basic engineering principles
Develop sustainable solutions to meet the energy demands of the building.
Development and management of Assistant and Apprentice Engineers
Leading multiple projects
be the point of contact between the engineering staff and the senior management
Monitor and invoice project fees
To establish project briefs/fees/timescales and ensure junior personnel are aware
To manage Energy & Sustainability output to ensure that quality criteria are met
To prepare Energy Services Scheme Design proposals
To deliver Energy Services detailed design/ production information.
Be actively involved in the day-to-day operations of the design office, and assist in improving efficiencies, programming, cost control and quality.
Develop and improve the engineering and management standards with the organisation
To adhere to company quality, environment and H&S accredited standards as required for your role
Represent the company through direct contact with clients and other design team members.Software

Degree qualified and incorporated/chartered status or equivalent.
