Senior or Principal Civil Engineer

PRG have been appointed on an exclusive basis on behalf of a top five multi-disciplinary consultancy in the search of a Senior or Principal Civil Engineer to join their growing team in Sheffield.
Due to significant growth and development, continuing to win major project work mostly within the commercial and public sector, including overseas projects.
Notable projects the firm are working on include redevelopment of Sheffield Heart of the City retail scheme, lineside Civils along the Transpennine Route upgrade programme and amended urban highway and master planning for universities!

You will be a leader, integrating coordinating and guiding the team. You will direct the process and carrying out civil engineering design. The role will require you to deliver high quality, innovative design. It is expected you will have thorough knowledge of Civil Services, experience of full range of project delivery with experience of site supervision and inspections.
You will have experience:
Liaising with clients, design team members and contractors Acting in the capacity as a lead engineer Help develop and support graduate engineers and technicians Open to travel nationwide or internationally (short-term travel) depending on project requirements.
You will have
* HND or Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, preferably MSc or equivalent
* Chartered or currently working towards Chartership (CEng MICE)
* Proficient knowledge of AutoCAD or Microstation CAD packages and design software packages (GSA, Oasys packages) spreadsheets and GIS, 3D environment.
* Understanding of drainage design, utility design, and highway design. Experience of developing solutions with varying levels of detail from masterplanning phase through to construction information.
* Manage own and others' time, ensuring the production of projects and design deliverables to agreed deadlines and within budget.
* Ability to respond to Project Manager and Client requests and meet challenging deadlines. And proven ability to write accurate, clear, high-quality reports in English.
