Senior Civil Engineer

PRG have been appointed on an exclusive basis on behalf of a top five multi-disciplinary consultancy in the search of a Senior or Principal Civil Engineer to join their growing team in Manchester
Due to significant growth and development, continuing to win major project work mostly within the commercial and public sector, including overseas projects.
Notable projects the firm are working on include exciting and often high profile including the fields of Infrastructure design (Utilities, Water and Drainage), Transportation (Rail and Road), Energy, Utility Provision, Site development and Master Planning. The company work across all phases of projects from advisory, concept, through to detailed design and construction supervision. The firms clients are varied including government agencies (both national and local), local authorities, private developers, contractors, and utility companies.

You will be a leader, integrating coordinating and guiding the team. You will direct the process and carrying out civil engineering design. The role will require you to deliver high quality, innovative design. It is expected you will have thorough knowledge of Civil Services, experience of full range of project delivery with experience of site supervision and inspections.
You will have experience:
Liaising with clients, design team members and contractors Acting in the capacity as a lead engineer Help develop and support graduate engineers and technicians Open to travel nationwide or internationally (short-term travel) depending on project requirements.
You will have
* HND or Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, preferably MSc or equivalent
* Chartered or currently working towards Chartership (CEng MICE)
* Demonstrable experience within the field of civil engineering, specialising in Infrastructure design or brownfield regeneration
* Experience undertaking design, checking of calculations and drawings to ensure high quality deliverables. Delivering civil engineering design projects such Public Realm schemes, Infrastructure projects, Water/Flood Alleviation scheme, Utilities or Site Development projects
* Mentoring the development of younger engineers within the team.
