This role will be based from our Glasgow office with hybrid and flexible working options available. Other UK locations will be considered by arrangement, regular travel to Scottish on-site locations will be required.
Full-time, part-time and contract arrangements will be considered.
The Opportunity
We are currently looking for a Non-Domestic Energy Engineer / Surveyor to join our Consultancy team in our Glasgow office.
You will be working as an integral member of our expanding international consulting team. You will be responsible for surveying large commercial properties based in Scotland, collecting data onsite, and we will train you in modelling these properties and producing Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) using IESVE.
Travel throughout UK will be required as necessary to suit project needs.
The Candidate
We are looking for an experienced (minimum three years), energy engineer with appropriate and relevant engineering, surveying and/or architectural background, with the following skills and experience:
Essential:
* Experience of performing site visits including building surveys of HVAC systems.
* Knowledge of UK and/or Irish building regulations compliance frameworks (Part L/Section6) for domestic and/or non-domestic buildings
* Educated in a relevant engineering or related discipline
* Clear and confident communication skills
* Hold a full UK driving licence
Desirable:
* Experience of using building simulation software or related software tools (e.g. CAD, energy modelling, loads analysis, daylight modelling, solar modelling, HVAC design tools).
* Experience with the IES Virtual Environment software
* Domestic Energy Assessor or Non-Domestic Energy Assessor - where needed full training will be provided to work towards accreditation.
* Experience with Building Services including understanding of HVAC system components
