Our client is currently recruiting for a Structural Engineer to assist their Design team with their ever-growing workload. They are UK leaders in Architectural Metalwork with a first-class team specialising in the design, manufacture and installation of high-quality bespoke metalwork projects for the Commercial and Residential markets. Their sound engineering and highly flexible manufacturing environment has produced a wide range of bespoke, cost-effective designs and solutions for their clients. Their production facilities are strategically located close to the centre of London, perfectly situated to service current and new building projects around the South of England.
The role
* Apply engineering knowledge to analyse the structural integrity of metalworks ranging from simple hand calculation to second order frame analysis.
* Assess and design-out hazards where possible within the design process and propose effective control measures for the reduction and elimination of risk.
* Access and support cladding, bridge, balcony, glazing and rail design calculations
* Work with the design team and on-site staff to implement designs and works
* Liaise with individuals at all levels
* Office based role
* Other responsibilities to be discussed at interview stage
Requirements
* Recent Structural engineering graduate
* Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role
* AutoCAD experience
* Based in the Essex area
* Willing to Travel into London on occasion
* Right to work in the UK
