What we are looking for

The successful candidate will be expected to be responsible for:

  • Delivering integrity related assessments to the business.
  • Supporting the development of projects in tandem with other team members.
  • Working with a high degree of autonomy including the execution of any and all modelling, independent calculations and produce written reports, to a high standard of English, containing the appropriate advice.
  • Proactively driving through projects to completion.
  • Liaising with customers and colleagues to obtain necessary information.
  • Delivering projects and work assignments to time and quality and within an agreed budget.
  • Providing assessment of defective components, which may include, but is not restricted to: pressure vessels pipework, valve bodies, thick castings, rotors, blades, gas turbine components .


Who we are seeking
  • Strong analytical skills in the area of integrity and fracture mechanics assessments (e.g. R6/R5 or equivalent).
  • Knowledge and application of fatigue and creep crack growth approaches.
  • Advanced practitioner in FEA (Abaqus).
  • A demonstrated history in the supply of Fitness For Service assessments in the Power Generation Industry.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including the preparation of detailed technical reports.
  • Experience of working independently.
  • Experience of liaising with NDT/Welding specialists/Metallurgists to deliver assessment of defective components.
  • Experience of reading and interpreting engineering drawings.


Desirable:

  • Knowledge of Gas Turbine component integrity and assessment techniques .
