My client is looking for a Graduate Structural Engineer to join their team in Brighton. This is a great opportunity for a recent Graduate who is looking to start off their Structural Engineering career. You will have support to achieve your Chartered status, with mentors for both IStructE and ICE, and access to regular workshops and seminars tailored to signing off the core objectives as part of the Chartership process.
As Graduate Structural Engineer, you will assist the structural engineering team with the design and management of key projects. Your key responsibilities will include:
Prepare drawings from engineer's sketches
Undertake elemental design calculations
Prepare reinforcement detail drawings and bending schedules
Carry out general administration and issuing of drawings
Assist with on-site survey work

Essential requirements:
A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
Further attributes we would like you to have:
Knowledge of basic engineering principles
Knowledge of British Standards / Euro Codes
Familiarity with AutoCAD
Strong communication skills - both written and verbal
Good team player
Ability to work to deadlines and manage time with multiple tasks
