Penguin Recruitment are assisting an award-winning and distinguished engineering consultancy in their search for a Senior Geotechnical/Geoenvironmental Engineer based in Bristol. This reputable business is at the forefront of innovative and sustainable engineering solutions, delivering across a range of sectors, both public and private.
The successful candidate will join an expert and highly skilled multidisciplinary team and will be involved in a broad variety of geotechnical and geoenvironmental projects. Ideally, you should be educated to degree level in an appropriate discipline, be chartered or working towards chartership, experienced and knowledgeable in typical geotechnical/geoenvironmental engineer duties and be willing to travel.
The main duties of the role include:
Supervising site investigations
Reviewing Phase 1 and 2 reports
Geotechnical design of foundations
Contamination assessments and compiling remediation strategies.
Working closely with the Ground engineering Director
