We are helping a Roads & Infrastructure service recruit a Graduate Civil Engineer (Bridges) (2 No. posts) to work within their Engineering Design Team. The role offers a salary of £28,074 - £36,540, an excellent work-life balance, and career flexibility.

You will assist and support Senior Officers in the design preparation and delivery of various infrastructure projects as part of the Engineering Design service. These projects will include bridges, retaining structures, flood protection, harbours and coastal protection works. A current full driving licence and the ability to travel and have access to a vehicle or transport are essential.

Working as part of a team of engineers and technicians, the Graduate Trainee Civil Engineer role would suit an enthusiastic, committed, and self-motivated individual. A minimum qualification to Degree level in Civil Engineering (or equivalent) is essential to apply. Qualification to Honours or Masters level is desirable. The successful Graduate Trainee Civil Engineer will have knowledge of bridge design standards and specifications along with the ability to use Microsoft Office Software packages. Using AutoCAD and experience in topographical surveying or other design-related activities would be advantageous.
