Country's leading engineering consultancy is looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to join their team to work on high-profile projects and advance business in central London. You will have an excellent opportunity to build-up a personal portfolio of both UK and International projects.

The organisation is looking for a candidate with experience and passion in design and architecture, along with the following:
  • Good leadership, time management and teamworking skills
  • A progression toward or completion of Chartered Engineer status
  • Experience in the design of structures using conventional engineering materials (steel, concrete, timber, masonry). Knowledge of other materials such as aluminium, glass, GRP etc would be beneficial but not essential
  • Experience of designing to the Eurocodes and British Standards. Knowledge of American codes and Seismic design would also be beneficial but not essential
  • Excellent problem solving abilities and creativity
  • Good communication skills, both verbally and written
  • Ability to use Robot Structural Analysis software is essential

Your areas of responsibility would include:
  • Undertaking structural engineering analysis and design
  • Leading the design of small to medium sized projects or sections of larger projects so as to achieve the client's objectives to cost and programme
  • Production of design calculations in accordance with relevant codes of practice
  • Gathering of information, carrying out surveys & research
  • Mentoring, supervising and providing assistance to graduate engineers and student placements
  • Working with CAD Technicians to produce relevant structural information
