The Systems Test Engineer is responsible for applying discipline domain expertise to the design, development and delivery of new products processes and technologies.
•They will typically be part of an Integrated Product Team (IPT) and will contribute to the performance of the IPT to ensure that the performance expectations are met or exceeded.
•The Systems Test Engineering shall employ the appropriate discipline processes, practices and tools to ensure that responsibilities are completed to meet the required project requirements and discipline quality.

Key Responsabilities:
•Designs and develops test programs, processes, and systems to measure the functionality and integrity of products and services.
•Tests products, sub-systems and systems and produces test reports.
•The Engineering Team Member is responsible for applying discipline domain expertise to the design, development and delivery new products processes and technologies.
•The Engineering Team Member will typically be part of an Integrated Product Team (IPT) and will contribute to the performance of the IPT to ensure that the performance expectations are met or exceeded.
•The Engineering Team Member shall employ the appropriate discipline processes, practices and tools to ensure that responsibilities are completed to meet the required project requirements and discipline quality. Application of discipline domain knowledge to the design, development and delivery of new products, processes and technologies on time, within budget and with required quality.
•Continued development of discipline competence and expertise
•Application of, and compliance with, engineering processes and practices including the engineering framework, LCM and regulatory requirements Identification of opportunities for improvement in discipline processes, practices and tools.
•Collaboration with IPT members to address project requirements
•Collaboration with discipline peers within the BU and across the enterprise to share and learn best practice
•Applies standard engineering principles to well defined problems of basic complexity.
•Assists other technical colleagues mainly within section and department.

Core Competencies:
•Understands what is meant by similarity/Analysis, demonstration and Inspection. Supports the generation of analyses/similarity statements under supervision, providing clear rationale.
•Understands the procedures for preparation of test units , appropriate release paperwork, maintenance of build integrity, control of non-conformances and failure reporting
•Prepares and executes tests under supervision. Records data accurately.
•Performs risk assessments and takes appropriate action to ensure the health and safety of test staff
•Is experienced in the setting up and use of date acquisition sensors including thermocouples, strain gauges, accelerometers, current clamps, humidity sensors & flow meters

Qualification and Experience:
•Degree in aeronautical, mechanical, electrical engineering or equivalent appropriate experience
•Experience with Environmental test standards (RTCA DO-160, MIL-STD-810, etc.)
•Is proficient in the use of hand tools for simple test rig assembly
•Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products
