As a Senior / Associate Civil Design Engineer you will lead design teams and work in close coordination with other members of the design team to ensure the highest quality of design deliverables and construction information are maintained.
Our Lisburn based Client is a niche Consultancy Practice with a focus on Civil and Structural Engineering Solutions. With a full order book, working with long established frameworks and partnerships on award winning projects, within both the Private and Public sectors. You will gain particular experience in Education, Industrial, Residential, Leisure and Healthcare.
This role provides the opportunity for promotion to the senior leadership team and allows for personal development in other sectors of the business including commercial and work winning opportunities and will actively encourage membership of the ICE, IEI, CIWEM etc.
Based in Lisburn, the office is in close proximity to the train station and as such a car may not be necessary.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a senior member of the Civil Engineering Team, your duties will include:
Preparing conceptual, schematic and detailed design solutions for various elements of Civil engineering, roads, drainage, earthworks.
Liaising and co-ordinating with other design team members, both in-house, other offices and/or external consultants for specialisms such as Geotech, flood risk etc...
Liaising with external bodies such as NIEA, planning authorities, NIW etc.
Attending design team meetings and client liaison meetings as appropriate.
Preparation of drawing lists, programmes, specifications and progress reports using Microsoft Office software.
Project Management and ad-hoc site supervisory resources.KEY ATTRIBUTES AND EXPERIENCE:
Applicants must have a degree in a related discipline such as Civil Engineering, chartered or progressing along a route to chartership.
Have at least 5 years' experience in a similar role in design office.
2D AutoCAD skills, experience with specialist software such as Autodesk Civil 3D or BIM will be particularly advantageous.
