My clients are a small civil and structural engineering consultancy based in Newport Pagnell/Milton Keynes and have been operating in various guises for 45 years. They provide engineering advice and designs from conception, through feasibility and planning stages, detailed design and to completion of construction. In general their services comprise the following:

Civil Engineering - major highways, estate roads, carparks, private accesses, service yards, adoptable and private drainage, sustainable drainage systems, flood risk assessments, topographical and drainage surveys, etc.

Structural engineering - building and structural surveys, structural design in masonry, steel, reinforced concrete and timber, all foundation types, etc.

Project management - from organising surveys and reports, through full multi-discipline design coordination to construction supervision.

The role is for a civil/infrastructure engineer with around 5 - 10 years' relevant UK experience.

The ideal candidate would need to demonstrate:
-suitable expertise and experience in the assessment
-design and detailing of adoptable and private roads and drainage
-ranging from very small residential schemes to large residential and commercial projects including major highway and drainage design works and associated section 38, 278, 104, 106 and 185 legal agreements.

Ideal experience:
-Experience with PDS, Flow and Microdrainage design software.
-Experience in preparing Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategy reports
- undertaking highway and parking assessments for planning applications
- assessing building and external levels and dealing with developer clients, architects and planning, highway and drainage authorities is essential.

looking for a start anytime from now but before the end of December at the very latest and salary will be commensurate with demonstrated level of experience.
