Overview of Role
The role of Senior Environmental Engineer is a multi-disciplined role that encompasses a broad range of responsibilities associated with the technical & operational management of geo-environmental consultancy, site investigation & remediation contracting.
The role incorporates the design, project management and overall delivery of remediation and consultancy projects.
As a senior Environmental Engineer you are expected to broaden your business and technical management skills such as mentoring/training junior staff and the identification of new and emerging technologies, you will also be expected to ensure the company complies with all existing and pending applicable legislation.
Key Responsibilities/Requirements:
* Provide technical support and management of remediation and consultancy activities as undertaken by the company.
* To keep fully abreast of development and changes through reading technical paper, magazines and attendance on appropriate courses and seminars.
* Responsible for the identification of opportunities to increase profit margin within tendered and live projects without detriment to the ultimate outcome of the project.
* Ensure regular review of remediation method statement and site specific tasks to complete compliant works.
* Senior environmental engineers should look to identify emerging legislation associated with the day to day business of the company ensuring continuous compliance with the Environmental Permits.
* Offer technical advice and support to your colleagues where you believe you can bring benefit to that project/tender.
* A key company objective is development from within and recognition of ability and loyalty. You are expected to apply the ethos in fulfilling your role.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Relevant degree or experience
* 7 years + previous experience in working as an Environmental Engineer or similar role

* Ability to communicate effectively in a variety of written and verbal formats with a wide range of people - external individuals, organisations and agencies.
* Develop and build key relationships with existing and new clients.
