Civil Engineer
Location: Reading
Salary: £30 000 - 40 000 per annum depending on experience
This is a great opportunity for an experienced civil engineer to join an established and respected Civil Engineering Consultancy. Our client has considerable experience in the civil design of superstructures in wide range of sectors, including commercial developments, residential developments, education, sports and leisure facilities, public health and pedestrian and highway bridges.
Key skills
Experience of preparing calculations, drawings and reports;
Able to present your technical work in meetings;
Comfortable with supervising the work of technicians/administrative staff;
Confident in using AutoCAD for general civil engineering drawing production;
Familiar with Health & Safety, environmental and managerial procedures;
Storm and foul water drainage network design using MicroDrainage;
Knowledge of Flood Risk Assessments would be beneficial;
Capable of SUDS systems design;
Experience of the preparation and submission of Section 98 and Section 185 applications.
Experienced in highway layouts (vertical and horizontal alignments);
Able to efficiently communicate with their team, suppliers, clients, and contractors
Be working towards Chartership with a relevant professional body
Experienced in preparing the evidence for planning appeals and public enquiries.Benefits include:
