An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Civil Engineer to join a successful multi - disciplinary consultancy in Birmingham. They currently operate out of 13 offices throughout the UK employing over 500 staff. They deliver solutions to challenging problems in Infrastructure, Energy, Mining & Minerals, and Property and Development.
The company are currently working on a number of interesting and exciting projects ranging in type and size from £500k to £90m in value. These projects are across various sectors including residential, education, and waste. Examples include small affordable housing sites, to major schools and college projects.
You will be part of a team preparing flood risk assessments, drainage strategies and producing detailed drainage designs. You will be responsible for project managing your own schemes and assisting and advising more junior members of staff. You will be liaising with clients and the wider project teams on projects.
The successful candidate will have a Civil Engineering degree, a minimum of three years' experience and be proficient in the design of drainage networks and SuDS features using drainage design software. Experience in producing flood risk assessments and drainage strategies is also required. AutoCAD and MicroDrainage experience is essential, experience of highway design, earthwork modelling and use of Civils 3D would also be a distinct advantage.
