We Require
-
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, geology, or other work-related engineering disciplines or physical sciences

Two years of experience in performing civil engineering-related work
-
Current registration as a Professional Civil Engineer (PE) or Registered Geologist (RG) or directly related PE or RG registration by the Arizona State Board of Technical Registration; or current PE or RG registration by the technical board of another state with the ability to obtain Arizona Registration within six months of hire

Valid Arizona driver’s license upon hire

Job Contributions

Manage consultant dam rehabilitation planning, design teams, and Construction Managers at Risk in pre-construction

Review engineering plans, technical studies, and reports for dam safety projects

Assure project deliverables meet scope, schedule, cost, and quality requirements

Perform annual and event-related dam safety inspections and prepare dam safety inspection reports

Coordinate the development of project design concepts and criteria

Meet as needed with various levels of staff, including leadership, engineers, operations and maintenance staff, real estate personnel, and other FCDMC Divisions staff

Compile, interpret, analyze, and calculate field data
-
Enforce the regulations for Maricopa County to ensure compliance with relevant work
