Assistant/Associate Professor of Civil Engineering

 

King’s College, Wilkes-Barre, PA is seeking an Assistant/Associate Professor of Civil Engineering, tenure-track, beginning August 2023.

 

King’s College initiated its Bachelor of Science program in Civil Engineering in fall 2017.  This program, along with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering program, enables students to earn engineering degrees with the benefits of a small college environment, including modest class sizes, personalized attention, high-impact teaching, and a strong liberal arts experience.  The Bachelor of Science degree programs in Civil Engineering and  Mechanical Engineering are accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC) of ABET.

 

Requirements include a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering, or a related field. The successful applicant must be comfortable teaching a wide variety of undergraduate civil engineering courses. Preference will be given toward applicants with prior experience teaching geotechnical, transportation, and civil materials, and applicants with industry experience.

 

Particularly welcome are candidates interested in providing students with meaningful research opportunities and who are supportive of the Holy Cross Mission and Catholic identity of the College.
