Engineering Aide (Summer/Seasonal)

The City of De Pere is seeking an Engineering Aide to assist engineers and technicians in day-to-day activities.  Responsibilities include assisting with surveys and construction staking, construction observation, maintaining records of construction, assisting with computations in the office, and miscellaneous office work.  Duties may include assisting survey crew in field; performing staking; performing mathematical computations; assisting with field instructions; construction observation and data entry.  Full position details are available on the website at www.deperewi.gov/jobs. 

Qualifications:                                                                          

1. At least 18 years of age. One year college or technical school training in the Civil Engineering field highly desirable. Experience with surveying and construction inspection. Ability to work outdoors in the field in varying weather conditions. Valid unencumbered Wisconsin driver's license and safe driving record.

Salary:  $20.00 per hour

Work Schedule:  Typical work schedule is Monday - Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.  Work schedule may vary depending on construction schedules.  

Work Location:  Office work is performed at the Municipal Service Center.  Field work will be performed at various locations around the City.
