Deputy Director / City Engineer

CITY OF APPLETON

This is a management and professional position responsible for the Engineering, Traffic, Building Inspection, and Parking Divisions. The work involves supervising subordinate staff, planning and coordinating engineering projects, maintaining budget for operations, construction and capital improvement projects, and providing engineering and inspection services for the City. The incumbent works under the direction of the Director of Public Works.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field, a Wisconsin P.E. registration, at least eight to nine years public works administrative and supervisory experience, or equivalent combination of experience and training.

Salary

The hiring salary range for this position is $42.85 - $55.70 hourly, plus an excellent fringe benefit package including paid time off, health, life, dental, and Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS). The WRS is among the best funded and best managed public pension systems in the country.
