The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for Energy Engineers to join our established team. You will be encouraged to complete a professional qualification, whilst maintaining control and the direction of your own career. We encourage our engineers to demonstrate partnership, support for other colleagues and to be motivated, seeking to improve ways of working. Showing a willingness to learn about our business, and to have a desire to effectively meet our clients' goals through the delivery of our projects is key.

Our engineers regularly work in active partnership with clients to understand their needs and aspirations. We work together with a broad range of specialists to propose innovative technical and economic solutions to complex briefs, making the most challenging of programmes and advance construction techniques possible. Our drive to advance energy engineering and our commitment to continuous learning shapes our innovative solutions and delivering technical excellence.

Every energy project is unique and comes with its own set of constraints and opportunities. At Arup, we strive to identify and implement the most appropriate engineering solution, given the challenges of each project, and provide our engineers with limitless opportunities to develop their career aspirations. Our Energy Engineers apply their specialist skills to Energy infrastructure projects across the globe.

We offer our clients a broad spectrum of expertise and consulting services in, including but not limited to Hydrogen solutions; Carbon Capture Use and Storage, Renewable Energy including, Low Carbon solutions as part of the transition pathway.

Is this role right for you?
  • A Master's degree in Chemical, Process, Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Naval Architecture, Offshore Engineering, Marine Engineering, Environmental (or similar) Engineering or equivalent
  • ICE or IStructE or IMechE (or similar) accredited course or interested in pursuing these.
  • A deep understanding of data with experience showcasing your numerical skills
  • Experience with coding languages will be beneficial
  • Demonstrable experience in engaging with multidiscipline engineering teams.
