Cal Poly Pomona, also known as California State Polytechnic University, Pomona or CPP, seeks a new Dean of the College of Engineering (COE). The new Dean must be an innovative, strategic, and collegial academic leader who understands the mission of Cal Poly Pomona, is committed to student success, and will be a champion for the college.

The College of Engineering is one of the largest, top-ranking, and affordable engineering colleges in the nation. The College offers 12 ABET-accredited undergraduate and 7 graduate programs to over 6,500 students across seven academic departments that include: Aerospace Engineering, Chemical and Materials Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering Technology, Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. It offers faculty, staff, and students state-of-the-art facilities to support teaching, learning, and research. Among the requirements a candidate must have are an earned doctorate in engineering (preferred) or a related field from an accredited institution; an excellent record of teaching, scholarship and service that would warrant appointment at the rank of tenured Full Professor in one of the college’s departments; and a record of successful activities to foster diversity, equity, and an inclusive environment for students, faculty members, and staff members. The anticipated salary range is $250,000 to $300,000 annually.
