Structural Engineer, Director

One of a kind lead design role in Gloucestershire with Directorship and equity sharesWe are delighted to be working with a hugely successful business which designs, manufactures and constructs steel buildings, roofing and cladding in Gloucestershire. All of these buildings are completely bespoke and the company is part of a larger group which gives it access to a number of lucrative sectors. Innovation and sustainability is at the forefront of their business model and they have worked on high profile structures all over the world. These include;

• Suntec City, Singapore
• Convention and Exhibition Centre, Hong Kong - This building had seven layers of roofing and every fixing had to be tested in Typhoon conditions in a purpose built wind tunnel developed specifically for this project
• Wembley Stadium

The RoleWe are looking for a Structural Engineer from a building background, chartered with either the ICE or IStructE. The key selling point for this role is that following successful completion of a 6 month probation period, a Director's position and equity shares in a new design business will be on offer with no buy-in required. We require someone with experience with:

• Structural steel work design
• Piling
• Bearing pressures
• Foundations
• Groundworks
• Hot and cold rolled steel
• Client liaison
• Value engineering solutions

This business is currently using contract engineer for this role and due to a huge increase in business is now looking for a an experience Structural Engineer to lead the design operations for the business. This person will be supported by an internal team of CAD designers and fabricators. As previously mentioned, the end goal for this role is for someone to run their own business in partnership with the wider group with equity shares and a full time salary. With this in mind, someone with an entrepreneurial spirit and a hunger to run their own business is going to be the best fit for this role. On offer his a salary of £55,000 - £75,000 depending on experience, a flexible benefits package and home working options.
