Job title: Graduate Structural Engineer
Location: Dunmow
Rate: £35K-£40K
Job Type: Permanent
The Graduate Structural Engineer (GSE) will need to manage, plan, and manage structural design projects while ensuring that structures are compliant, economic, and safe. You will work within the technical department, reporting to the operations director.
Responsibilities
* Undertake structural inspections and commission specialist surveys
* Prepare feasibility reports
* Compose engineering drawings using CAD packages and sketches for drafting
* Assess the environment impact and the risks connected to design decisions
* Responsible for progress during each phase of a project
* Manage information of development and information approvals
* Confirm supplier's ability to deliver information requirements
* Direct the production of task information in compliance with standards and methods
* Direct the product of task information
* Developing new and improved processes for the technical team
* Attending client meetings as required
* Providing technical support to the company's pre contract team as required
* Ability to work directly with clients and colleagues to ensure that projects are completed to schedule
* Ability to work unsupervised
* Be able to work as part of a team
* Be able to work accurately, with good attention to detail
