NES Fircroft are working with a multi-discipline engineering design consultancy who are looking for a Civil Engineer to be based at their office in Teesside. 12 month contract, outside IR35. Mon-Fri in the office.
The Company
Our client is a leading provider of multi-discipline engineering design services and are now into their fourth decade of successfully delivering engineering projects throughout the world.
The primary purpose of the role is to work as part of a Design Team responsible for the production of technical documentation to high professional standards within challenging programmes and budgets.
KEY TASKS AND MAIN DUTIES
Prepare and/or check design calculations
Use design software to prepare and interrogate models
Supervise production of and check drawings/specifications for compliance with design and project objectives
Prepare Technical Specifications/Reports/Scopes of Work
Prepare Technical Analysis of proposals provided by equipment manufacturers and contractors
Co-ordinate/liaise with other Engineering disciplines
Interpret Vendor drawings/information
Work to design budgets and programmes
Comply with Company Quality Management Systems
Other professional duties reasonably required
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
University degree as a minimum
Appropriate engineering experience in the particular discipline.
Knowledge of engineering Practices and Standards, Codes and Regulations and current HSE Legislation and Regulations related to the particular discipline.
Background in Heavy Engineering/Chemical/Petrochemical Industries preferred in relation to reinforced works (roads, hard standings and drainage schemes)
Ability to design/work to Eurocodes British Standards and Codes of Practice
