Structural Engineer

A great opportunity has arisen for a Structural Engineer to join a well-established and leading manufacturing company based in the Bury area. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Structural Engineer/Design Engineer with Steel Works & Temporary Works experience looking to elevate their career to the next level with an excellent and market-leading business. The successful Structural Engineer will be responsible for:

Reviewing design briefs
Ensuring all temporary works design documentation is registered correctly and recorded following internal procedure.
Carry out tool box talks with TWC.
Manage a small team of temporary works designers
Working alongside TWC within a client facing capacity to develop designs that follow client specifications and relevant restrictions.

The successful Structural Engineer will have:

Extensive knowledge of the steel works industry including erection requirements
Sound understanding of design codes, especially within steel and wind & temporary works
Degree level qualification or equivalent
Knowledge of current legislations within construction & steel fabrication environments
Familiarity with relevant drawing software, e.g. Tekla, Solidworks, Revit, Advance Steel etc.

Dependant on experience, the successful candidate will be rewarded with a generous salary of up to £55,000.
