We are working with a growing, independent Civil & Structural Consultancy that are looking to expand their Building Structures department that offers a diverse portfolio of projects across most sectors. This position would include the communication with clients and colleagues to ensure the smooth delivery of projects.
Main Responsibilities:
* Execute technical design information including calculations, drawings, reports and specifications
* Assist with the reviewing stage, checking designs prepared by Junior Engineers
* Contribute to the preparation of feasibility studies, design and progress reports.
* Liaise effectively with clients, authorities and other members of the design team.
* Understand and adhere to existing working practices, methods and procedures
Key skills required:
* Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
* Solid understanding of engineering principles
* The ability to produce sketches of structural elements as well as hand calculations
* Understanding of British Standards/ Eurocodes
