I am looking to speak with a well experienced Senior Geotechnical Engineer that specialises in delivering detailed design projects ideally within the rail sector. This opportunity offers the chance to work on fast paced and really complex rail design schemes across the UK but being situated within a small design team in Kidderminster.
As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer, you will be sat directly under the Director of Geotechnical design mentor/manage the team and leading on all aspects of design projects from technical delivery through to project management and commercial liaison with the likes of Network rail and contractors.
It will be expected as a Senior Geotechnical Engineer, that you have strong geotechnical design/analytical capability in relation to slope stability, retaining walls, pile design, anchors, soil nails, foundations and drainage (ideally).
Geotechnical Projects typically include the inspection and assessment of embankments, cuttings, retaining walls, culverts, and drainage assets predominantly within the rail network.
Senior Geotechnical Engineer Specification:
Bachelor's Degree and Masters/MEng in geotechnical/civils discipline
ICE chartered or near to chartered
2-10 years' experience within Geotechnical design, preferably on rail schemes albeit will consider alternatives.
Experience in the design and specification of remedial solutions and preparation of options.
Ability to identify and assess defects/instability features in earthworks, retaining walls and drainage systems
Knowledge of industry standard software (e.g. Slope/W, WALLAP, REPUTE, TEDDS, AutoCAD etc.)If you would like to know more on this project, please contact Cory Taylor at Calibre Search Manchester.
