Our client is seeking an enthusiastic experienced Infrastructure Design Engineer to join their vibrant multi-disciplinary practice in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, to work with a variety of clients in the Midlands and the Home Counties.

You will be expected to form a key part of our engineering team and provide highways, drainage and external works design on a wide range of projects, including both new build and refurbishment projects for public and private sectors. You should have the confidence and ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.

Chartership status is desirable but not essential, however you will be actively encouraged and supported to achieve your professional qualifications. Minimum requirement BEng Civil/Structural Engineering. Candidates should be able to provide examples of work.

The Role:

Liaise with clients, interface with project teams and contract implementation.
Carry out detailed design of roads, drainage and external works etc. including S38 and S278 highway schemes and S104 drainage schemes together with preparing technical specifications.
Mentoring more junior engineers in design and best practise to ensure excellence in the design office.

Excellent communication skills.
Good level of computer ability in AutoCAD, Ground Modelling, Flow, WinDes.
Experience in Revit, Civils 3D, Site 3D and knowledge of Flood Risk Assessments and Transport Planning will be an advantage.
A minimum of BEng Civil Engineering, a Masters would be a benefit plus a desire to become Chartered.
A high level of project management skills will be essential when managing your portfolio of varied projects. You will be encouraged to offer ideas to improve the company and the opportunity to see them through.
