Our client is an engineering and construction contractor working closely with a wide range of clients, across a number of disciplines within the UK rail industry. They offer both design and construction solutions to the sector through our inhouse engineering and project delivery teams.

Job Summary

We are recruiting for the role of Civils Project Engineer, to support their growing multi-disciplinary rail business.

The successful candidate will effectively manage design/engineering projects and produce design cost estimates, monitoring project costs against the tender allowance.

Responsibilities will include;

* Identifying resource demands

* Progress reports

* Appropriate cost estimates

* Delivering projects on time and within budget

* Effective Bid Delivery

* Delivering construction strategy plans

Skills Required

The successful candidates should come from either a construction or engineering background, ideally with experience of the UK rail industry and will be working towards Chartership and Project Management.

* Graduate or HND

* Relevant experience at engineering level

* Proven railway planning and project coordination capability

* PTS

* A good understanding of group standards, procedures and HSE legislation

* Coordination of works of a multi-disciplinary railway engineering design team
