Rail Civil Design Engineer

We are currently working with a leading engineering contractor who are looking to recruit for a Rail Civil Design Engineer being based in Derby working on Civils schemes to supplement electrification projects. As the Rail Civil Design Engineer will report to the Civil Team leader in the efficient and effective delivery of Rail projects in the civils team in producing civil engineering designs and studies for a range of railway infrastructure projects, specially linked to electrification.

As the Civil Design Engineer, you will be responsible for assisting in the production of Civils design deliverables in accordance with Network Rail and client requirements working on such schemes as OLE Masts, portal frames, foundation, and gantries.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Graduate looking to make that next step up into a Design Engineering position. As previously mentioned, this position is based in Derby working on a hybrid basis, so could suit candidates from the surrounding areas such as Nottingham etc.

Job Requirements

Ideally experience within a Rail Civils environment, however transferable sectors such as Civils within power will be considered
2 years + design experience
Experience in the use of Eurocodes.
Experience in the use of computer analysis programs.
