Case Western Reserve University is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a non-tenure track faculty position, Assistant Professor of Engineering (Teaching Focused). The full-time position will involve teaching and service duties and will be based within the Division of Engineering Leadership and Professional Practice in the Case School of Engineering of Case Western Reserve University.

We seek an outstanding candidate with a passion for undergraduate teaching and mentoring, and a commitment to working with a diverse body of students. The candidate will have broad technical expertise and competence to teach fundamental engineering courses including statics, circuits, and chemistry of materials. Much of the teaching will be in our largest enrollment courses and will be carried out in collaboration with a co-instructor. Our vision for the collaboration is that the co-instructor will lead the course content and lecture delivery, while the Assistant Professor of Engineering will be the primary point of contact for students in the course and oversee student engagement and satisfaction; oversee recruiting and mentoring of TAs; provide supplemental help sessions and occasional lectures; and ensure an effective learning experience for the students overall. In addition, the candidate will teach courses in their discipline as the sole instructor. Other responsibilities of the Assistant Professor of Engineering include student advising and university service, and to actively contribute to the educational missions of the Case School of Engineering.
