As an Energy Storage Engineer, you will be responsible for designing energy storage systems that meet performance and service requirements defined in contracts, and providing expert technical advice on batteries, battery enclosures and auxiliary equipment, PCS equipment, and control system requirements.

Key responsibilities of a Energy Storage Engineer include:

* Understanding internal and external customer technical and commercial requirements to ensure all solutions maximize value

* Designing system and site layouts in accordance with internal guidelines, planning consent, grid connection parameters, major equipment designs, and other contract requirements

* Providing technical support to the procurement strategy, determining end user service requirements, and addressing issues with battery and PCS suppliers

* Undertaking system FMEA and availability analysis, and incorporating changes into relevant scope of design

* Providing technical specifications for battery and PCS supply agreements, and expert technical support during contract negotiations

* Providing technical support during the delivery phase with regard to end user requirements and system performance

The ideal candidate will

* Understanding internal and external customer technical and commercial requirements to ensure all solutions maximize value

* Designing system and site layouts in accordance with internal guidelines, planning consent, grid connection parameters, major equipment designs, and other contract requirements

* Providing technical support to the procurement strategy, determining end user service requirements, and addressing issues with battery and PCS suppliers

* Undertaking system FMEA and availability analysis, and incorporating changes into relevant scope of design

* Providing technical specifications for battery and PCS supply agreements, and expert technical support during contract negotiations

* Providing technical support during the delivery phase with regard to end user requirements and system performance

* A broad engineering knowledge including electrical, mechanical and control systems

* Knowledge of energy storage systems

* Experience with Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (FMEA)

* Ability to think creatively, adapt to new technologies and applications, and work effectively in a customer-focused environment
