An exciting opportunity has become available for a Civil Project Engineer to join a leading design and build contractor in the water industry.
Our client is able to consider candidates on a permanent staff or contract basis (Outside IR35)
The successful candidate will be working alongside the project delivery team to help deliver a variety of schemes on both clean and waste water projects.
The Role
* Reporting directly to the Contracts Manager
* Responsible for outlining the engineering of projects from inception to completion of schemes
* Ensuring the timely completion of multiple concurrent projects, safely and within budget
* Attending internal and external review and progress meetings and site visits/meeting's
* Involved in preliminary and detailed design/project requirements and solutions
* Ensuring compliance, prepare estimates and quotations, carry out site surveys, design development and produce drawings or sketches for manufacture and complete contract documentation such job cards, method statements/risk assessments, cost to complete and inspection and test plans
* Managing site safety, health, and environmental issues and also oversee the procurement of materials and specialist subcontractors
The Candidate
* Water industry knowledge/experience is a needed to be considered for this role
* Qualification to degree/ HND/ HNC in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
* Candidates ideally should be from an Civil background
* Proven record of accomplishment in an Engineering or Supervisory role with project management capability.
* Good technical background with good knowledge of own specialist discipline and knowledge of other engineering and trade disciplines.
* Current CSCS card to at least Engineer or Manager Status.
* Ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
* Ability to work alone, or as part of a team and supervise/ lead a team.
