Principal Engineer looking for a new challenge, and to work on a wide range of projects? Or Senior Structural Engineer hoping to take the next steps in your career within Structural Engineering?

We are actively recruiting for a multi-discipline property and construction firm, that offers advice throughout all stages of a project. They look to bring creativity to every job no matter the size, with the goal of adding value at every stage. Working on large and small-scale projects across the UK in multiple different sectors, such as commercial, R&D, energy and residential will make the job very exciting, with no two projects being the same.

The successful Principal Structural Engineer will be joining a strong team of about 10 engineers and technicians in Didcot, collaborating with staff from the firm's other office when need be. There is a strong passion for personal and professional development, with a supportive team culture and a desire for strong career development.

There are many responsibilities within this role, including leading project teams, supervising & training staff, management of the financial & technical elements within a project, assessing environmental and sustainability aspects of a project, and liaising with architects, clients, sub-contractors, and other professionals. The successful Principal Structural Engineer must meet the following requirements:

BEng/MEng Civil or Structural Engineering degree
Chartered, or working toward Chartered Status
Multiple years' experience, post -graduation
To have experience preparing structural designs for all conventional materials
Be able to take a global view of structural design, identifying any issues and their potential solutions, whilst liaising with the clients.
Excellent communication skills, with an ability to lead projects and work collaboratively.
Be able to prepare schematic structural designs based on basic architectural layouts. The employer provides a great number of benefits including:
