Civil Engineer (Oil & Gas) - Leicestershire

This client are a dynamic company that provides Engineering Consultancy and Design Services to organisations in the energy sector. As a Civil Engineer you will be required to undertake a design role on high pressure pipeline and plant systems, working to high engineering standards within the budgets and timescales set by clients. You will be enthusiastic about the work you produce, leading by example with good attention to detail. You will have the ability to learn quickly and work methodically under your own initiative and as part of a multidisciplinary team. You will also have awareness and commitment to health, safety and environmental procedures relating to design and construction activities.

Ideally you will have a minimum of 2 years' experience working within oil and gas or similar utilities industries, familiar with Eurocodes and having gained at least a 2:1 (Upper Second-Class honours) in a Civil Engineering degree accredited by the ICE or IStructE. You will have obtained or be working towards Incorporated or Chartered Engineer status.

Tasks will include production of civil design calculations from first principals and using calculation software packages, interpretation of geotechnical information, reinforcement design and engineering drawings using CAD packages.

This position comes with an expected start salary of £30,000-£45,000 depending on previous experience, project suitability and transferable skills/ knowledge. There may be the opportunity to occasionally work from home however we are looking for candidates who can commute daily to our office with ease.

Candidates must have the right to work in the UK to be considered for this position, and preferably have worked in the UK previously.
