Civil Project Engineer, Croydon,Surrey, to £60,000 per annum, plus Car, Generous Pension, Bonus & Benefits
Our client, a successful major developer, has an opportunity for a civil engineer to transition to the client side of the industry. This is a position for civil engineer with roads or drainage design experience, ideally gained with a consulting engineering practice. You will apply all of your existing design knowledge whilst gaining invaluable management and project development experience spanning land acquisition stages through to project completion. You will become a key member of their in-house civil engineering team in an office employing fifty staff. Your role will include providing front-end advice, drainage/ SUDS and roads design, co-ordination and site monitoring. Your line manager, a chartered civil engineer will provide support, guidance and additional mentorship if you are working towards ICE chartership or incorporation. The position offers experience in the development side of the business, plus interesting and varied work. You will work closely with their land development team to advise on the suitability of new sites and co-ordinate designs with in-house architects. There will be liaison with utilities and local authorities and regular site visits.
About You: A degree qualified civil engineer with at least three years drainage or estate roads design experience. This should include exposure to securing technical agreements for highways or drainage design, knowledge of AutoCAD and industry standard design software such as WinDes, MicroDrainage or Civils 3D. A willingness to learn new skills and to progress your career.
