Civil Engineer
Our client is a leading firm of consulting engineers, providing expert advice in transportation, water, environmental, infrastructure and civils/structural design services. Recently the Company have seen an increase in its project wins and are in the process of an expansion program. As a result, they are seeking a full time Infrastructure Design Engineer to work within their infrastructure team based in Glasgow.
They have a mixed workload and can offer the successful candidate autonomy and variety, whilst playing a strategic part in their ongoing growth plans. You will have a CV that demonstrates UK experience in roads and drainage design, and the ideal candidate should be someone who is seeking a genuine long-term career move and doesn't want to get lost in a large organisation.

Key responsibilities / duties include:
- Responsible for technical and design input on a wide variety of infrastructure projects.
- Responsible for design of projects or aspects of projects as project manager
- Liaise with clients, other professional teams and disciplines on relevant aspects of projects
- Delegating and supervising work of more junior team members.
- Support the Principal Engineer in managing the team's workload
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Positive and enthusiastic team player.
- Holds a suitable and relevant Civil Engineering degree,
- UK post graduate experience within a UK Consultancy.
- Close to attaining MICE or other relevant professional qualification.
The ideal candidates must:
- Have experience in infrastructure design; drainage; roads and streets, utilities etc.
- Have knowledge experience using 3D modelling software (e.g. PDS or Civil3D) as part of the design process
- Have experience of working in a team environment and supervising the work of others.
- Have knowledge and experience of WINDES/Microdrainage design software.
- Have excellent communication and written skills
- Be competent with the use of Microsoft Office programs
