Site Agent Civil Engineering

Elvet Recruitment are recruiting a Civil Site Agent on behalf of an expandingand innovatice regional civil engineering contractor to run a project in the Derbyshire area.

A reputable regional contractor who are in a phase of major growth. Having secured a placeon Severn Trent Water AMP7 framework, they are now looking at an influx of projects as the framework picks up.Theyhave a strong and established in-house team with a senior management structure coming from mostly large contractor backgrounds. Company processes are lean and practical and sites are well run with high standards of HSE upheld.

Projects cover civil engineering works, mainly: water infrastructure, WTW's, pipelines, RC works, environmental works, deep sewers/drainage etc.

Projects are all delivered as principal contractor and have values of: £1m to £5m+.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Full management of site,liaising with a visiting Project Manager andContracts Manager.
• Leading projects fromsite setup through to handover.
• Ensure programmes are reviewed and updated.
• Completing daily site diaries & paperwork.
• Ordering materials for site.
• Completing look-aheads to ensure deadlines are met.
• Managing HSE duties on site.
• Ensure RAMS areupdated.
• Progress meetings with senior management and client.
• Overseeing direct delivery teams and sub-contractors.

Experience required:

Must have:

• Experience working as Site Agent to deliver civil engineering &infrastructure projects.
• Experience managing projects£2m+ from site setup to handover.
• Detailed experience with:water infrastructure, deep drainage, sewers, heavy civils etc.
• SMSTS, First Aid and CSCS Black.

Nice to have:

• Engineering background, working from Site Engineer to Site Agent.
• Degree qualified or HNC/HND qualified within civil engineering.
• Temporary Works Co-ordinator, Appointed Persons, SEATS etc.

Remuneration:

A salary of up to £57,000 (dependant upon experience) plus company vehicle or allowance, fuel card, annual leave, pension scheme and other benefits.
