A highly specialised & globally renown leader in land & nearshore ground investigation surveys for the Construction, Marine, Energy & Rail sectors; An esteemed Geo-consultancy comprised of experienced Geotechnical Engineers, Engineering Geologist, Geoenvironmental Engineers & Consultants, conducting land & nearshore site surveys for large scale infrastructure projects spanning across industry.
With a solid reputation and very firmly established land characterisation division, the business is seeking qualified Geotechnical Engineers with site investigation experience within the UK, to support their growing portfolio of new & ongoing projects across the country, responsible for supporting all site characterisation activity.
The individual will possess an analytical mindset, good self/project management skills, and above all a passion for all things environmental & ground engineering.
Principal Responsibilities:
Supervision of all site investigation activity, managing internal engineers & 3rd party participants.
Subsurface investigations through boring & test pits, analysing geological material and ground characteristics.
Recommendations on proposed use of site based on tests & analysis.
Manage test rigs and support site organisation.
Conduct in situ tests of rock & soil samples.
Conduct full analysis of site-suitability addressing hazards which may affect engineering works, using gathered data and associated software.
Ensure data integrity & quality is kept to the highest standard.
Organisation and recommendations of required construction materials.
Responsible liaison to client & other stakeholders, providing updates on project benchmarks.
Checking of field & lab data / report writing / ground models / internal communications and deliverables.
