Civil Engineer - Wind
Salary up to £70,000 + Bonus and package
Edinburgh - Hybrid Working
Introduction
Astute are working with a leading Developer and Asset Manager in the Wind and wider Renewable Energy industry, who are looking for a Civil Engineer / Civil Engineering Project Manager to join their growing team based out of Edinburgh.
The successful candidate will have a proven background in civil engineering, preferably working on renewable energy projects such as in the wind or solar sectors. Experience in design, coordination, planning and delivery of construction projects would be a distinct advantage.
Roles & Responsibilities
Reporting to the Manager of Engineering, you will be responsible for:
Project manage the design process through to construction, on projects such as renewable energy generation plants - wind farms, solar parks etc.
Select and assist external engineering enterprises, providing support throughout the development phase.
Ensure the design of electrical infrastructure, planning and preparation of documentation is in accordance with grid connection code.
Manage the development to minimise risks associated with specific key studies (power compensation, foundation noise etc).
Deliver support to the procurement department with bidders and award negotiations to guarantee best technical-economic conditions.
Assist with locally managed aspects for technical assessment, CapEx estimation and risk assessment.
Skills & Qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
Degree qualified or equivalent in Civil Engineering or similar field of study.
Additional certifications in renewable energy would be advantageous.
A demonstrable background in civil engineering, preferably within wind/solar PV or infrastructure projects.
Strong statistical and analytical skills.
High attention to detail.
Based in a commutable distance of Edinburgh - hybrid working available.
Salary & Package
