Civil Engineer

Bennett and Game are looking for a Civil Engineer for our client based out of the heart of Glasgow. The company the Civils Engineer will be working for operate in a number of sectors including Commercial, Residential, Historical Buildings, Drainage, Infrastructure and many more. Our client offer an industry-leading environment of engineering experts and the chance to work on a huge range of projects and sectors throughout the UK.

The Civils Engineer will be working on a range of drainage projects using Civils 3D package so experience with this is essential. It is envisaged that the Civil Engineering technician will hold a HNC in a Civil or Structural engineering field. Experience within as a Civils Technician role working on similar roles.

Civil Engineer Position Overview

Assist our Senior Civil Engineering staff in preparing and developing civil engineering
designs, reports and commentary's from concept through to delivery.
Preparation of the detailed design or parts of the design, reviewing any sub-consultants designs and drawings and liaising with third party specialists.
Liaising with your structural and civil engineering colleagues in-house and also with the wider design team and statutory bodies.
Reviewing any Contractor's designs and drawings.
Attending design and site meetings as necessary.Civil Engineer Position Requirements

Completed a suitable qualification in Civil engineering discipline. Other degrees/qualifications shall be considered and reviewed in line with the requirements of the position.
Civil design experience; e.g. SUDS, roads and drainage and site visit and survey/inspection Experience is essential
Excellent day to day IT skills
Experience of Autocad and Civils3D
Experience in software packages including PDS and microdrainge or similar (Preferable but
not essential)
Ability to multitask, work to tight deadlines and manage own workload
To be a confident & capable individual with strong
technical & communication skills.Civil Engineer Position Remuneration

Salary: £35k - £40k
33 Days Holiday + BH
5% pension
35 hour week
