Senior Geotechnical Engineer

I am looking to speak with a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to come and join a market leading multi-disciplinary consultancy in York to work on high profile infrastructure projects such as TRU and HS2 joining a team that leads the way in infrastructure design. They are building on their continued success in the UK by growing their team looking for passionate Geotechnical Engineers to deliver their projects across the transportation/infrastructure sectors.

Main Duties of a Senior Geotechnical Engineer:

Act as design production lead of work packages
Lead technical excellence in delivery of designs
Deliver of technically sound solutions are produced meeting client specifications, including all associated reporting and cost estimating, to programme and within budget.
Provide technical guidance to engineers, graduates
Develop innovative solutions to design problems
Responsible for mentoring and development of staff
Responsible for the allocation of work to designers including utilisation
Collaborate with international technical design teams in the delivery of designs.
Responsible for the production of all design to resolve client challenges
Responsible for the delivery of CDM and design compliances Senior Geotechnical Engineer Experience:

Degree qualified within a relevant discipline
Chartered or nearly chartered Engineer MICE/ Geologist Cgeol/ MIMMM/ MISSMGE
Experience in geotechnical engineering, engineering geology and geo-environmental engineering
Experience in earthwork design, ground improvement, foundations, retaining structures and slope stability assessments
Knowledge of management, procurement, supervision and interpretation of ground investigations
Geotechnical/Geology knowledge on infrastructure projects
