My Client is recruiting for a Senior ICA engineer in the Water Sector
The role is for a Senior ICA engineer to be part of the team that delivers the MEICA permanent works for the East section of the Tideway Tunnel.
About the Role
The successful candidate will work within the MEICA and commissioning team, working alongside the many other disciplines and stakeholders that make up the Tideway Tunnel project delivery team.
The role includes involvement in final design management, change control and factory acceptance testing of control panels and MCCs; the procurement, installation, and testing of instrumentation; and site acceptance testing, and commissioning.

Attendance to UK manufacturing facilities for factory inspection and acceptance testing of electrical equipment will at times be necessary.
Key Responsibilities
Reviewing designs and managing change control for the ICA scope of works, inclusive of instrumentation, plant, materials, networks, PLC and HMI software, and telemetry and SCADA interfacing

Ensuring compliance of ICA works with the applicable specifications and standards, and the application of safety and quality systems to the ICA scope of works, inclusive of ATEX compliance for instrumentation within a DSEAR environment
Planning, coordinating, and attending factory acceptance tests for local control panels and MCCs, inclusive of integrated testing with representative field equipment, telemetry, and SCADA
Managing and coordinating on-site ICA works, inclusive of modifications to existing client's hardware, networks and systems, and the access and revision control and verification of software
Planning and coordinating ICA Worksite inspections, testing and pre-commissioning, inclusive of client acceptance and testing for local control panels and MCCs
Providing cover within the team for managing and supervising low risk LV and ELV electrical installation works when needed
Experience and Qualifications:
An experienced ICA engineer with a proven track record and with significant experience of working on Water Industry construction projects, preferably with experience of large and complex deliveries
Degree, HNC/HND or similar in related Engineering discipline
experience operating effectively as part of a large project delivery team, while being proactive and collaborative in interfacing with multiple stakeholders and disciplines, and across multiple worksites
Comfortable engaging with clients and end users and has good communication skills
Committed to working and contributing to the highest safety standards within the construction industry
Commitment to Right first time in terms of quality and who can work within a high governance environment
Experience of working within, and administering works to, the framework of an NEC 3 contract would be of value
Strong engineering and technical skills.
Additional competencies in LV and ELV electrical works and experience of supporting the management and supervision of electrical installations is of value
