Senior Geotechnical Engineer

I am looking to speak with a Senior Geotechnical Engineer with an extensive design background in the Chester area for a small bespoke design consultancy. You will have the opportunity to work directly under the Geotechnical design director to take a technical lead on projects and help build and develop the team.

To come in as a Senior Geotechnical Engineer, you must have 5+ years design experience as a Geotechnical Engineer and want to work for a smaller organisation which will give you the opportunity to work more flexible, gaining more exposure on projects including managing from inception through to completion.

The position as a Senior Geotechnical Engineer will consist of all technical, commercial, financial management of projects as well as mentoring and developing Junior/Graduate Geotechnical Engineers.

Technical responsibilities as a Senior Geotechnical Engineer surround both reporting, calculating and designing including; Site Investigation, Foundation & Pile Design, Retaining Wall Design, Basement Design, Earthworks Design/Specification, Temporary/Alternative Works Design, Rock and Soil Slope Stability Assessment, Rock and Soil Anchors and Ground Improvement using Geotechnical industry software.

Senior Geotechnical Engineer Specification:

Relevant engineering experience (4 to 8 years), including but not limited to design of piles, walls, soil nails, slopes and proficiency with industry design software such as Plaxis 2D, Oaysis package, Wallap and Slope W.
Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) or equivalent.
