Basically this is a great introduction into the role of a structural engineer applying theory to practical projects.
You will to help ensure that mechanical and structural engineering works on rolling stock (trains/carriages) meet required standards. You'll survey vehicles, using innovative techniques (such as 3d scanning) ensure repairs are undertaken and support the documentation for procedures.
About the Client.
Client offer a range of overhaul services to owners & operators of passenger rail vehicles. With a focus on driving technological improvements and delivering high quality solutions that meet the demands of the rail industry. A part of the business is also involved in a number of projects that put environment at the core of operations.
Are you right for the role?
Rail experience would be superb ; however a degree in mechanical engineering and a desire to learn are really what is important
Remuneration & core information.
This is a permanent position
Salary circa £30,000
25 days holiday + bank holiday
37 hours a week. Early finish on a Friday
