We are living in more challenging times now. Everything is cost, cost, and you will have experienced a rise in petrol, food, and energy, no doubt. Well, it's no different for a business as they too are having to pour more resources into being more efficient and reducing waste which tends to equal money saved. Thankfully, this isn't new for businesses, as the race to reduce carbon footprints started long ago.

While you may have experience as a Process, Sustainability, or Energy Engineer, which would enable you to think of and implement ways of reducing waste, that's not enough for this role. Here, you'll be tasked with not only the here and now but also being future-focused on your approach.

The business is a well-known global FMCG manufacturer focusing strongly on being carbon neutral by 2030.

So, what will you be doing in this role?

As part of the Engineering function, you'll work alongside the Utilities Manager and Plant Manager and review, monitor, and optimise energy performance within the plant. This would involve capital projects scoped to exceed energy and carbon reduction targets.

You'll have a Chemical/Mechanical engineering degree and at least four years of experience in a process or sustainability engineering role within manufacturing or similar.
