Building Physics Engineer / Energy Modeler

As Building Physics Engineer / Energy Modeler you will join a dynamic team working on challenging, high-profile projects across a range of sectors, creating some of the most captivating, sustainable and award-winning buildings in the UK.

Responsibilities

* Leading all building modelling aspects of sustainability projects

* Working alongside the Head of Sustainability to ensure delivery of projects is efficient and effective

* Researching and developing new approaches to projects

* End to end project management of new and existing developments

* Taking ownership of proposals/quotes from initiation through submission with the client

* Monitor the quality of the work produced by sustainability engineers and contractors

Requirements

* Degree qualified in an Engineering, Environmental, Energy, Sustainability or Architecture related subject

* Experience in Dynamic Thermal Modelling software (EDSL Tas or IES Virtual Environment)

* A passion for building physics, passive design, occupant comfort and innovation

* Experienced in low carbon and net zero carbon design principles, assessment and validation

* Knowledge of building services engineering

* Low Carbon Energy Assessor, or commitment to become accredited

* Familiar with the latest relevant regulations, standards and assessment tools (BREEAM, LEED, Passivhaus, NABERS etc.)
