My client is a European Leader in Industrial Wastewater Treatment, notably in Membrane Bioreactor Technology and Water Recycling and Reuse. The company has pioneered the implementation of water recycling within the food and beverage sector and successfully established customers who utilize its turnkey processes, including membrane bioreactor technology (aerobic & anaerobic) for the purpose of water recycling, reuse and biogas production. The company works closely with industrial clients to provide low footprint and operational cost wastewater treatment and reuse.

Due to expansion, the company is looking for a Senior Process Engineer with a minimum of 6 years experience in Wastewater Treatment process design. The role will be part of a team providing the detailed process design and technical support for the company's wastewater treatment and re-use projects.

The role is based in Worcester, UK, flexible working arrangements can be accommodated. The role covers a wide range of process and general engineering activities including:-

- Wastewater Process design
- Preliminary process design and preparation of documentation for tender submissions
- Calculation/estimation of operating costs
- Production of Process Flow Diagrams and Flow/Mass Balance
- Development of P&IDs
- Process and hydraulic calculations
- Production of equipment, motor and instrument schedules and associated datasheets
- Specification of chemical dosing systems
- Involvement in HazOp studies, design risk and DSEAR assessments
- Technical review of supplier's quotations
- Development of Functional Design Specification and other software documentation
- Software testing
- Preparation of O&M manuals
- Involvement in on-site commissioning and process start-up
- Training of Client's operators
- Ongoing process support/management
- Involvement in on-site pilot trials
- Mentor / Coaching of junior process engineers

Candidates should ideally have a suitable science or engineering based degree (e.g. chemical engineering, biochemistry, biological sciences etc.) and ideally a Masters degree in water and wastewater engineering field (although relevant experience will be considered).
Experience in membrane bioreactor, anaerobic treatment processes and tertiary membrane treatment would also be of particular interest. Candidates should preferably have IChemE or CIWEM chartered or equivalent status (or working towards this status).
Applicants should have a full UK or EU driving license and be willing to travel and spend time on site (when required), initially in the UK, with the potential for servicing projects abroad in the future.

Renumeration:

• Circa. £60,000 package per annum depending on benefits, experience and suitability for the post.
